Entry requirements at a glance

Our admission will be open to candidates with the requisite qualifications and subject to the fulfillment of guidelines that the university may determine.

The admission requirements into the undergraduate programmes of the University will be as follows:

JAMB / NYSC Notice

Admission into Iconic Open University for bachelor's degree does not require JAMB result, but candidates will be asked to get a JAMB regularisation number upon successful admission in order to be used for his/her NYSC at the time of graduation.

Admission into the university is open to all, irrespective of religion, ethnic group, gender, creed and disability status.

Tiered entry requirements

Iconic University accepts students at multiple entry levels depending on existing qualifications.

Tier 1

Admissions into the Iconic University for bachelor's degree will be through the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) i.e. WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS or any other foreign recognised equivalent certificate, National Diploma, NCE, & HND.

Tier 2

For admission to 100 Level, candidates must obtain five (5) credits at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings including credit passes in English and Mathematics.

Tier 3

For admission by direct entry (200 Level), candidates will, in addition to having five (5) SSCE credits, obtain at least two (2) A' level (or its equivalent) passes in relevant subjects, or possess in NCE, ND with credit passes, or possess a good bachelor degree in another field as the case may be. Candidates for B.Sc. Nursing Science must have a registered Nursing Certificate.

Tier 4

For admission by direct entry (300 Level), candidates with HND in related course will be admitted into 300 Level, while all other HND candidates will be admitted into 200 Level.

Tier 5

For admission by direct entry (400 Level top-up degree) candidates with good bachelor degree in related field will be admitted into the university to complete the remaining years for award of degree.

Requirements are provided in line with programme pathways across certificate, diploma, bachelor's, master's, and postgraduate diploma admissions.

Certificate Programme

Master's Degree

Our admission will be open to candidates with the requisite qualifications and subject to the fulfillment of guidelines that the university may determine.
All applicants for admission into the university will have attained a minimum university requirement for admission.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Our admission will be open to candidates with the requisite qualifications and subject to the fulfillment of guidelines that the university may determine.
